Petals, Puddles & Perfect Vibes: Pressed Flower Art at Trailhouse

They say April showers bring May flowers—but this April, the flowers showed up pressed, framed, and fabulous.

Despite the rain trying to steal the show, DIY Roadshow Co. and a bunch of awesome creative souls gathered at Trailhouse Café for a Pressed Flower Art Workshop. We ditched the outdoor setup, moved everything inside, and guess what? The magic still bloomed.

There’s something kind of poetic about making flower art while it’s raining outside. Maybe it’s the contrast—storm on the outside, serenity and Mod Podge on the inside. Or maybe it’s just that a room full of people sipping coffee & beer, laughing, and getting their hands a little gluey is the best way to spend a drizzly day.

Each person created their own unique piece—pressed flowers laid into a unique arched wood frame that felt like spring. No two were alike, and every single one was beautiful.

Moral of the story? Creativity doesn’t wait for perfect weather—and neither should you.
